      ​HAVANA is an initiative taken by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad for encouraging upcoming ideas and hidden talent of students. It is a platform where you can participate in various Technical events like Project Expo, Robot War, Robot Race, Paper Presentation,Poster Presentation, Techno Quiz, Workshops, Electronic Sketch, Technical Talks, Startup Talks.

About Department:

​

          The Department of ECE is established during the academic year 2009 with a four year undergraduate programme in ECE and five year Integrated Dual Degree (B.Tech+M.Tech) in the year of 2010. The aim is to impart high quality technical education and promote the growth of Electronics profession with moral and professional standards. To achieve this, well equipped laboratories, central and departmental libraries support students throughout their course of study. A PG course started during in the year 2013. The department frequently organizes workshops and conferences in the thrust areas of VLSI Design, MATLAB, Communications and Signal Processing etc. The academic course covers fundamental and vital areas of importance in electronics relevant to both Industry and Research. The students are also encouraged to carry out and pursue projects with reputed Research and Industrial Organizations. The Department has a strong team of dynamic and Research Oriented Faculty specialized in various areas and disciplines. Faculty are actively involved with their research work and have good publications in peer reviewed Journals/Conferences.
